@FarangBalls im with you on that one. I prefer incandescents. However, compact flourecents are not going to be the only choice of lighting. In fact, there is no actual ban in light bulbs in the US.They're making more efficiency standards in them and MANY incandescent bulbs will meet the new standards such as the Halogen bulb. Also, incandescents under 40 watts, over 100 watts, flood lights, specialty lights (such as candelabra and globes), rough service, colored and 3way bulbs will not be banned

CFL bulbs are superior get over it you stupid people, after all your silly old inc. bulbs will soon be illegal ha. Green is the new thing.....I enjoy every single one of my cool cfl bulbs lighting my home and enjoy having low energy bills and a great piece of mind helping save the planet.

For what it's worth, you don't even need the meter. Just put your hand on the bulb and feel how much heat it is generating.

I suggest that if and when we are compelled to buy these great energy savers (which are only produced in China) we should pack up all used bulbs in a box, trot them down to our local EPA office, and leave them there for them to dispose of.
