the causualties was from Military deaths from the DOD listed from the death toll of thePacific theater HIstorical fact not the propaganda from the USMC. The US Army fought alongside the Marines on several Islands as well as several others on their own.
Do not get it twisted to think that I am saying one branch did all of the fighting merely a correction on the status of the US Army in the Pacific being reconized
