Laura the Rabbit was timid yet curious when we opened her transport carrier as she arrived at Harvest Home Animal Sanctuary. On Monday, March 21, we welcomed six young New Zealand rabbits from a research laboratory based in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is the first time our organization has had the opportunity to provide sanctuary for animals used in vivisection. We are thrilled to usher in the new rabbits to Stockton.

Harvest Home Animal Sanctuary was formed to aid homeless and abused domestic and farmed animals in the San Francisco Bay Area and the San Joaquin valley. We assist local humane societies and rescue groups with animals-primarily farmed animals-who, due to their breed, their health, or their personality, cannot be adopted into permanent homes.
