Tim Russert died Friday afternoon of a heart attack while in the newsroom at NBC headquarters in Washington, DC. He died doing the thing he loved the most- readying himself for another edition of Sunday morning's Meet the Press.
Seriously, it sounds like Russert is taking a lot of short breaths in this interview. I wonder if that was a symptom of the pending heart problem. Paul Douglas, the actor, experienced the severe shortness of breath in the days leading up to his fatal heart attack in 1959.
Tim Russert was a good man. I like how he played both sides. He was indefferent to both sides of the table. That in my opinion is a DAM GOOD JOURNALIST! You have ones on T.V that let you know were they are and who they want just by there mannerisms. But with Tim Russert you really couldnt tell. At least I couldnt. He is missed very much so.
So sad, he said "Happy Father's Day" at the end ..."and to your dad", going to a father who two days later would spend his first Father's Day with his son being gone :(

my father is the news anchor working for WTOP who interviewed Tim Russert in this final interview before he passed away.

It really is frightening to listen to this. Here one minute, gone the next. Literally. You never know. :(
