Exploring the Tanach: Sefer Shoftim - Part II

The eleventh in a series of videos exploring the Tanach (Hebrew Bible).

Sefer Shoftim (ספר שופטים) also known as the Book of Judges is the second book in the Neviim (Prophets) section of the Tanach and the second book of the Neviim Rishonim (Former Prophets).
According to tradition, Samuel is named as the author. The title Shoftim is taken from the content of the book that of the history of Biblical judges who helped rule and guide the ancient Children of Israel.

Unfortunately movies usually do a hatchet job on much of the Bible! I do agree that done right, this would make a great movie.

Samson is a very rich story. It could make a great motion picture if somebody would do it right. Movies usually end with the death of the character while Biblical accounts always tell of his burial.
