this helped a lot, thank you

I've been teaching people all my life how to work by hand followed by how to work by machine. After a person learns how easy it is to get better results faster by machine then they always want to move up to machine polishing. -Mike

@autogeek I was actually in the market for a buffer for my explorer. but they are wayy to expensive, so I just bought some towels and wax. You should do a video on proper hand waxing lol

People are different and have different likes... if we only had one polisher people would complain we had no selection... :)

i dont have a da buffer, but i do have a black & decker da palm sander with no variable speed settings, and uses velcro pad, i wonder if i use this with a velcro buffing pad to remove the swirls on my car?

@marlo916
I actually get asked this question all the time and the answer is "no". The majority of all palm sanders don't have the power to rotate a foam buffing pad so they won't remove swirls and scratches. All you can do with them is spread out a coat of wax. -Mike

now how do you clean the pads? or can you not reuse them?

@crazykhmaiboyz
There's 4-5 ways to clean your pads, I cover this in my new book, "The Art of Detailing" or I have articles on this topic on AutogeekOnline . net There's also videos here on our YouTube Channel. -Mike
