@FrozenPetrolPie The only tank thet can compare to the Abrams is the leapord 2. now the Leapord has the advantage of speed and mobility but the abrams has a higher survivability. The main guns have the same performance and some of the abrams electronics are becoming outdated. at least on the m1, the a2 as updated electronics package. On the other hand the abrams is produced in far greater numbers and would out number the leapord any day.

It's a good tank, if you are from some other country then you'll think your tank is the best...of course.

T90s and leopard are good tanks too,probably as good or better at some stuff and not as good at some other stuff,it's all a trade off and different folks think different and use other tactics.

@Talshet Things like fiber optic cables, reducing effectiveness of EMP weapons and reducing vehicle weight be 3 tons. A new variant of armour that is more effective than current MBT armor but is less weight. M1A3 is 15-20 tons less than current Abrams tank. New defensive measures to counter ATGM and RPGs. A new gun has also undergone testing that uses a plasma charge to ignite the powder in shells. Providing faster, more even buring for increased velocity and range. Plus alot more.
