  • @thedarkcow64 well fuckhead lets see you be in the most anticipated movie of 1999 and so many fuckhead fanboys hating a freakin 9 yr old wow!! I don't blame jake at all for quiting acting, heck BEST decision he ever made. He moved on, going to school for editing and moving on with his life. Fuck you and all the hatred he has gotten.

  • @NonstopRam Yeah. When I watch it like I'm in 1st grade it works. I mean I get it. Jake lloyd isn't a problem. Lucas cast him because he was exactly what Lucas was looking for - someone 8 to 10 yr. olds could identify with. It would be great if we could tap into our inner child whenever it was appropriate.

  • @DejaVoodooDoll I was like 8 years old when I watch Episode 1, and I thought it was the best thing since the Original Trilogy.

I now think the Original Trilogy is better, but I still like the Prequels.

Not only I got the prequels, I got Knights of the Old republic and books like Shadows of the Empire

    I miss my childhood :I

  • Not quite as scary as darthvader

  • Jake Lloyd is going in my dead pool after watching this.

  • OH MY GOD!!!!!!!! not only was he a shit actor but he's really let himself go over the past few years since star wars. I mean....... OH MY FUCKING GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @DejaVoodooDoll well even tho i was born in the 80's, i watched the original star wars first as a child then the prequel trilogy when i was at highschool..so the original SW is part of my childhood too..and what kind of "suprise" did you expect from a prequel??..all off my questions in original SW was answered beutifully on the prequels, i expect no less from starwars..but thank you anyway for answering my questions mate cheerss

Really? Anakin completely forgot about her until the nightmare?

There's so much more, but I'm sure I've already ranted too long...

  • @swss4rmy

And neither is any other Gungan. Add to that the broken English, and his rhythmic walking...

Plus the aliens throughout the series that have stereotypical Earth accents, like those in charge of the Trade Federation, or the one who owned Anakin....

That's another thing - slaves. In the Star Wars I knew, anyone who owned slaves was a bad guy and about to go down. In Phantom, the Jedi seem okay with it. They even abandon Anakin's mom, and as a result, next movie she dies...

The humor was for all audiences too. The heroes were sarcastic, they clearly hated each other at times. Nothing big, but by comparison, the heroes of Phantom are so very bland. Each has but one personality trait - Anakin is enthusiastic, Quan-Chi is wise, Padme is stoic, etc. You can guess what they'll do, and they'll never surprise you.

Except for Jar-Jar. I'm not going to debate whether his character is racist, because it's a minefield. But he's clearly not smart...

  • @swss4rmy

If you came to the prequels as a kid, there's not much that's going to break nostalgia's hold. You were able to lose yourself in that world, and it's a time machine whenever you go back to them.

That's fine. I would never take that from you.

    But.

For those of us who grew up with the original 3, there was always something for the adults, too. Han Solo shot Greedo in cold blood - watch the scene without the music, and it could be in a Quentin Taraninto movie. Also...
