Do You Believe in Ghosts Chapter 17

"Okay, okay, girl, we were just asking, calm the hell down," said Maira. I looked awkwardly at my tray. They avoided the Nick Jonas conversation for the rest of lunch. I stayed quiet.
After lunch, Dee and I walked to the rec room. I looked around. There was a foosball table, an airhockey table, a ping-pong table a few board games, a crappy television that appeared to have only three channels, and... a reporter with a camera man?
Wait- OH MY GOD! NO! Not now! I'm just meeting people! It's my first day!
Tilla is standing by them, looking confused as she points me out to them. SHIT! I'm about to bolt out of the room when I hear,
"HEY! Allie Carpenter! We want an interview! Is it true that you killed Nick Jonas?!" Suddenly, my legs turn to jelly. The room goes silent as every single pair of eyes turns to me. Dee is staring at me with her mouth hanging open. She closes it, and shakes her head at me in utter disappointment. I close my eyes, hang my head for a second, and then turn slowly to the reporter.
"No comment" I mumble. Then I run out of the room.
A security guard shouts for me to stop. I do, even with the tears streaming down my face.
I hear the guard jog up to me, and I wipe my tears away, turning away to face him.
"Hey, where do you think you're going?" He pants.
"I'm, um." I pause and sniff, "just going back to my room." The guard nods kindly.
"Well, you're supposed to have someone with you at all times, okay?" I nod. "I'll escort you. What's you room number?"
"241"
"Ok, follow me." We walked down the halls slowly. Nick was next to me, obviously thinking about something. He was probably going to give me a lecture later. Greeeeaaat.
The security guard looked REALLY young, maybe even just a few years older than me. Hmm. He's cute too...
"WHAT?!" Nick screams. I tried not to laugh and mentally shushed him. Colin had light brown shaggy hair, and bright green eyes. He wasn't tan, but he wasn't pale, either. He was about six feet tall, about six inches taller than me. (A.N. I wish I was five six. But NOOO I'm 5'3"! Stupid short parents. lol.)
"So, what's your name?" the cute security guard asked.
"Allie. What's yours?"
"I'm Colin. How old are you? Seventeen?"
"Nope, sixteen. What about you?"
"Eighteen."
"Really? Aren't you a little young to be doing this? Shouldn't you be in college?" Colin shook his head.
"I'm earning money for college. I got a scholarship, but it only covers about half of my tuition."
"Oh. What school?"
"Juliard." Holy crap. Genius alert.
"Wow, really? What do you play?"
"I play guitar, and sing. A little piano too."
"That's cool!" He laughed.
"Thanks. Maybe I'll play for you sometime." He smiled at me. I grinned goofily.
"That would be great! Hey, this is my room. Maybe I'll see you tomorrow?" He nodded and smiled at me again.
"Definitely. Bye Allie."
"Bye, Colin," He closed my door, and I waited until he was out of earshot before sighing happily. I had momentarily forgotten about my other issue.
"Oh, good, you'll see him tomorrow, talk about music, and FLIRT some more!" Nick exclaimed. Whoa. What's up his butt?
"Huh? Maybe I was flirting with him a little, but what's the big deal?" I thought towards him.
"The big deal is...well... I don't know. I just don't think that you should be flirting with him!"
"What? Why?"
"You just shouldn't!"
"Nick, what's your problem? Are you just like, jealous or something?!"
