good observation, there both unique and both have a lot to offer. In terms of contests Andy came 2nd at the Canadian Gutiar Festival and 3rd at winfield. Alder came 2nd at the Canadian guitar festival and 1rst at Winfield. They both offer different things which should be appreciated and not compared.

Really guys?? I think they are about even. I have heard a lot of Don's and Andy's music and I can honestly say they are pretty close with technique and skill. They both got first place at the Canadian fingerpicking competition.
