  • Hello,

I saw a facebook and twitter icons on your playbook screen, I'm wondering how do I can create those icons on my blackberry even if is only web browser.

    Thanks.

  • ..the average consumer. Just like HP did when they failed at producing a consumer-ready tablet. They re-badged their HP 500 as "enterprise" lol. RIM is deluded and don't know what they want. They want mass adoption, but think all their customers wear suits. In fact, most blackberry users aren't business or enterprise users. In the tablet space now, there are two groups: Android and iOS. With iOS's now deeper penetration in business, RIM has to compete with it if it wants customers.

  • @SladeNoctis Of course it's not that hard. Personally, I don't think it is. However, it's just not intuitive. for people like you and I, this won't be an issue. I avidly used Maemo on the Nokia N800, which had most unintuitive UI on a modern smart phone. The UI design and layout is actually very good. The problem, judging from the current trend in the tablet market, is that this thing may not reach mass adoption with . Of course, when RIM fails, they'll try to make u think they never targeted..

  • @lanreudu Its not that hard really, its like basic swipes you would think it would happen. Especially the swipe left of right to switch tasks is really basic. The problem is that tablets are originally for touch screen based pc like experience which are meant for business and help in the workspace. Ipad has made the experience of the tablet to the society more of a larger version of the iphone which makes it a bit more for entertainment then for productivity. This isnt the ipad, its the playbook

  • Is the Piano App pre-loaded?

  • I love how the new BB Playbook OS is based on UNIX. I'm curious if it'll show up as a drive, or if RIM is planning on doing anything for Linux users.

  • would be a decent tablet without the completely unintuitive UI navigation. too many things to remember just to use it. I'm sure people can get used to it, but the initial learning curve is too steep for the average person. once again another failed attempt at a tablet implementation.

  • @CarlyUTube I am assuming there is an option to toggle On/Off gestures. Unless if they are the only way to navigate the PlayBook.

  • oh boy, after a while this gets rather confusing to me. what if you just happen to touch the out side of the screen and bam! you've enterrupted the movie you were watching. This seems a little too touchy feely for me.
