Your walk and jog are great and he is a pretty horse. I would say that you are riding the brake to much and thus your horse looks over canted and he is off balance due to the excess head bobbing.
Encourage forward motion with him and you will have a far prettier lope that is consistent with what you are seeing now with wp.

head bobbing = BAD. world western pleasure judges DO NOT want to see a horse whose head bobs at the lope people! aaaand ladies! put your chins up please! :) look like youre enjoying it and have an attitude!

Your horse is Gorgeous! How did you do in this class? also do you know how the other paint did at 3:37? The 2nd one behind you? Do you know it's name? I LOVE the lope on that horse;) Your horses is really nice too.

Wow he carries his head SO low!! he is GORGEOUS! I dont understand how a horse can lope that slowly!
-
@mrn1224 thats a bit extreme, and over opinionated. cause i can say the same about basic dressage
...and considering that he's 16.2, he can hold his own in the ring with all these little WP bred ponies ;)

Beautiful horse! I love his movement...so slow and consistent, and he makes it look easy. We've got a WP mare like that, but I also have a gelding that I show HUS with and I'm trying to do some more WP, but it's just not as easy with him. People don't realize how hard it is to go "slow and easy."

You're right, it's much easier when they are bred for it and want to do it naturally :)

Pretty horse. Did you train him?
RachieRae241 3 years ago
My trainer and I have worked really hard with him. I live hours away now, so I have to give him most of the credit!! He was always a nice mover, but didn't even know how to steer when I bought him.

lol, which one looks more dead?
Doesn't look much like a extended trot, and holy shit, I thought they were walking when they were actually loping. And look at the head! All of them are bobbing like their lame.

I noticed that one of your "favorite videos" is called "Stereotyping: English and Western", where the moral of the video is to accept the differences between equine disciplines and not criticize one in which you may not be familiar. So seeing that you barrel race and I show western pleasure, obviously two separate kinds of classes, why don't you just shut your mouth and stop being such a hypocrite.
