A careful reading of Q'riyath Shema3, with simple explanation of often overlooked details regarding its reading. Each letter is read with its distinct sound, carefully articulated. I intentionally overemphasized some of the sounds, because it may be hard to hear the differences between some of the letters due to the low quality of the clip.

Check out my video "A Christian becomes a Jew."

My choice to join the people of Israel was not an issue of salvation or eternal life. The Torah (Law of Moses) is only fully applicable to the people of Israel and those who voluntarily join them. All other peoples of the world are obligated in what are known as the Laws of Noah.

REMEMBER: The most paramount command among the Laws of Noah is the command against idolatry.

No factors of creation (time/spatiality/change, parts, etc...) apply to the Creator. He is an Incomparable Singularity, to Whose Oneness no form or concept of division can apply. His glory, prayer, and praise from the heart are due to Him ALONE.

  • i have never heard hebrew spoken like that. it's very interesting. sounds like a mix of sfardi, ashkenazi and arabic. that was cool. is there a specific name for that pronunciation?

  • @AdamG319

    yemenite / iraqi

  • I don't understand why your Hebrew pronunciation is so strange ....no offense pls, your not praying for me anyways....but your pronunciation is very asknazi and, if not mistaken you live on the Land right ???? So why you choose that ??? Thks

  • @aviv2005

    My pronunciation is very Ashkenazi?

Why thank you for the new perspective. You're the first person to say such out of the almost 20,000 people who have seen this video.

  • you've got the right AIN, HET, QAF, Thalet and THet. actually, if you a little bit ease it up you'll sound more natural (to my mind). but the fact is you're practicing almost ancient hebrew!!! cool!!! just Lambdin sounding!!! super!!! you combine the right yemeni sounding of 'ain, 'het & qaf together with right aschkenazi thalet and thet and qamats, patah etc. you rock!!!!

  • @ahlanusahlan

I'm intentionally over-emphasizing the sounds so that people who are not used to hearing these sounds can more easily recognize them. I also need to do this because the sound recording quality of my camera is not the best.

  • On the contrary, his Hebrew pronunciation is more historically accurate than Ashkenazi and Sepharadi Hebrew, or Israeli Hebrew which is most like Sepharadi.

  • @omedyashar Fascinating to hear that there is a Jewish minority in Iraq, something that many people are likely not to know. Well I do...but I'm a devoted student of Judaism and it's various practices/rituals. ;)

  • @zipo43 hahahahahah

  • ashkenazi? his accent is not even close to ashkenazi. it's like he's speaking the old english form of hebrew. this is old school.
