After i said goodbye to Francis Goya..i decided to go backpacking in India.
From the well known place "Gandhinagar" to the small village of Bhopal.
After many hours of walking i found my good friend Wim Kuipers lying on grass.
Playing this lovely tune about a lost relationship...what other subjects does he know...right??
I pulled my 24 Track out of my backpack, placed 16 mics around him (for better surround sound), and pressed the Rec button.
I grabbed a guitar myself and started playing with him..it was like i knew the song...all the chords i played where right on the spot.
After i got home i deleted all Wim`s guitar parts and called Francis to come over and play the solo`s.
And we both agreed on it..Mister Goya`s BEST WORK EVER!!
3 weeks later i got a call from The Wachowski Brothers who heard the song...(Francis gave it to them, damn,... he knows everybody..),and asked, altho it sounded more like begging, if they could shoot the video for it.
Who are we to say no to them :-)
Hence the result..a perfect mix of great guitar work and cool pictures in the background.
Sit back and relax.
Oh Yes, i remember those days in India. The only thing i could think about is "Kutwijven!!!...Allemaal!!!". Thanks Bart (you native from Peru) that you recorded this part of my life. By the way...the solo is still the same as i did? Bhopal...what a place. All the wimmen got a G-spot on their forhead. And i'm just one Wim.
