    Multitouch has been out before apple even announced development on the iPhone. Apple patented the way iPhone works, not really the technology.

    MULTITOUCH was not patented by apple, neither microsoft, MULTITOUCH is a techgnology that's been around for a while now, there been products with MULTITOUCH for years, but with the techgnology of now days , Windows Vista for example, have let companys like microsoft and apple take advantage of it.
