When I saw it destroy that cinder block I said out loud to myself, "HOLY. CRAP."

nice. you need a better/quicker operating air valve. you could've shot that thing another 3 or 4 times easy on the air in the tank.

Wow nice air cannon but I really don't think that is going 600 mph maybe 200. How'd you freeze a soda can without it exploding.

we clocked a tennis ball at 550 mph at 40 psi. this was a frozen soda can (opened, filled with water, then frozen). The tank was at 120 psi on this shot. 600 mph is not an unrealistic figure.

@regolithe nice, what did you use to measure the speed?
joostan1 1 year ago
@joostan1 I shot a tennis ball over a measured range, and timed the flight of the ball. I went conservative on each figure, just to make sure that I was not overestimating the actual ball speed. My measurements were that the tennis ball took 0.27 seconds to travel 220 feet. So, I rounded up to 0.3 seconds and rounded down to 200 feet. that works out to be 666 feet per second. I rounded that figure down to 600 feet per second, which works out to be 2,160,000 feet per hour, or approx. 409 MPH

@joostan1 (pt. 2) assuming those figures were all accurate, without rounding down to be conservative, it works out to be 555 mph.
