The first part sounds more like a daydreaming sigh than anything truly sad... like a "what if... *sigh*..."

The first part is an arrangement of Melody in Ancient Village, the faery theme. The happiest song in the game...is also the saddest? It's fine for the purpose but I wish there could have been a new one, as it's better happy then sad. It's kind of separated from the last two parts (though they work really well as one piece.)
