  • I was on the executive committee of the Student Mobilization Committee at UT, 1969-71. My nick name was fun(d)-raising Phil. Went to D.C. Nov. 15, 1969. At all these domontrations, plus the funny small one at the ROTC field when John Lane got arrested for kissing(assaulting) a female cadet. The court appearance was histerical. Worked with Jeff Jones, Melissa Singler, Travis Burgeson and Henry Quinn from YSA. The May 1971 protest at the LBJ Library Dedication was a trip. Live on Kauai now. Aloha

  • Hey there [[almost forgot I posted the thing--yea---I was in Junior and high school when most this went down but was active in the protests and went to several S D S meeting and I think some S M C also--I was a Quaker so we did allot of marching---Then dropped out of school-or they kicked me out--16-17 and moved into a communal setting--33rd street--and was and have been working at a home for severely handicapped children---I quit and am now doing some catch up--

  • Austin has always been such a cool oasis in the middle of Texas. In 1970 and 71 we had so many battles wih the cops on Guadalupe during demontrations. Remember the Vulcan and the Armadillo. Now only central Austin is cool. Still there are lots of hippies in Austin.
