@Gonztanople dreamtheatre is driven by technicality. Their creativity is very low. Animals as leaders is driven by creative and technicality happens to be another skill added to the mix. If you don't have a very discerning ear for music, then don't say anything.

@robertrodrig1 Dream Theater is progressive metal, moving forward from the band they obviously take after, Rush. AAL is more intense, but at the same time, still very proggy in their solos/breakdowns/synths/drums. Both are progressive metal bands, just at different levels of intensity. Also, it's not nice to call people names, didn't your mother teach you better?

@robertrodrig1 Well, I like Dreamtheater and I like AAL... so my comment was meant as a compliment... I'm not familiar with genre names either, I just like what I like. It looks like I have some people that agree with me by the thumbs up thingy, so you must be the only one that doesn't get it. Sorry about that.
