  • Microsoft XNA Game Software Contest 2010 in Japan announced on May 16 that this REVOLVER360 and its author won the special prize in the Xbox 360 section! Congratulations, kuroro! He wrote: he had completed 60% of the work by May 20 and was impossible to release in May as planned. He wanted to release in June but a friend who he asked for the musics faced obstacles. What would become of it! Please wait patiently. Since only a 3minute mode was not enough, he's going to add one more mode.

  • The author said as follows at niconico-douga, a Japanese movie sharing service.

He created so much in a hurry that the enemies and the shots were randomly programmed and too bright too see... the total quality was two or three out of ten.

The completed version would differ from that. This movie was made as a memory for a rush work. It would be released at Xbox Live Indie Games in good time. If you find it, try to play it. The price might be 240MSP. All but the music were created by myself.

  • Looks great, and love the intensity! Great job.

  • This looks absolutely amazing. I've never seen a game that looks so intense!

  • That's a neat concept, but do I see a shield? Most shmups players don't like shields or lifebars, since it can lead to lazy bullet design and patterns that are impossible to dodge. Also, is there invulnerability during those transitions (like the one at 0m32s)? If not, that's going to be really irritating - the bullets blend in to the animation. Try changing the colour of the bullets or the transition, or making the player invulnerable during that time to avoid invisibullet deaths.

  • looks great

  • Awesome!

  • Great work! I really like the results.
