@jerryaltman Yet another example of track operators that aren't equipped to have a race like this. If there isn't a fully operational fire truck(s) on site for this kind of thing the insurance companies shouldn't allow them to open the gates. What if he wasn't able to get out? Then what?

Any car still moving should have bee thrown out or race officials fired for telling them to move. that is a good way to get rescuers or escaping drivers run over and hurt for no reason at all. The way this was handled is ridiculous.
-
every car should also have a fire extinguisher. then all drivers can come to aid. just a suggestion.

holy sh!t

wow, now that's a fire! Never seen a modified burn that much, usually got put out before it got bad
-
did anyone else notice the cars were still goin around the track y did they pull the yellow flag instead of the red!?!?!?!?
-
Yes i am not the only one to catch on fire i have been on fire 4 times it sucks
-
thats fucked, you need multiple safety crew with fire extinguishers not 1 guy with 1 fire extinguisher.
stupidity like that gets people killed
Unfortunately, they could not get it out. Had to let it burn out. That's the worst thing with those gas/alcohol fires. They are nearly impossible to extinguish!
