Dwarf Fortress: 003 Parallel Universe. Migrant KIA

I had a ton of audio problems with this episode which is why it took me so long to get uploaded, that and Christmas!

This world was planned by myself and Nagidal146 as a way to see how differently we play the game, since then it has grown to have more people join us! you can too if you want by downloading the world below, and sharing your trials in it!

here is the world for you, and a map of the location of the embark area (the area is a 5x5 area so make sure your PC can handle it, also it is a region 6 world so dont overwrite anything important!)

The little "kiddy corner" should also keep the lava from pressurizing into the level above. That's how it works with water, anyway :). You have a really great spot, obsidian, volcano, and flux stone all right next to each other!

Now you just have to dig for adamantine!

@fuzzylunkinz lol actually thats the plan, I will try to make steel plate armor, if not that then iron plate... but I want a god military so I want adamantine shirts and things for under the plate! adamantine for the sharp objects, plate for the blunt thats near invincible in DF! :)

@fw2k if it seems frozen its because of my audio... I had some strange strange issues with sound in this one. before I fixed it, by the end of the video, I was talking about things that happened 4 minutes before... so I had to move the sound around a lot to synch it back up!

Oh is that sand near the drawbridge? You could prolly set up a few glass furnaces up top next to some sand so you can have endless cages.

If you want to ensure a dorf builds constructions (like walls and flood gates) from the correct direction, you can place and immediately cancel temporary constructions in the directions you do not want the worker to stand into. Dorfs will not stand on a planned construction to do their jobs. Obviously, cancel the temp constructs when the work is finished.

You really need to assert your control of the surface with a military presence. At least until you get more dwarves or larger invasions. Maybe setup random archer pillboxes accessible via underground tunnels? I mean, that one guy not making it was tragic.

go to /your DF directory/data/raw/your world/creature_standard.txt and under DWARF, type in

'[SPEED:0]'
