  • gscarecrow, thanks for your comment, we used sweetpotatoes because they are a readily culled crop in our area, that means that they would have never been deemed fit for human consumption, we are not wasting food. We cannot use kitchen waste because we need the ingredients to be consistant, for scienetific posterity. We are also using Hog manure, which in infact animal poop beleive it or not. lol. Our CO2 emissions were quite low, roughly 20%, but our CH4 conc. was 60% and you only need 50%

  • Sweet Potatoes will also create a massive high level of CO2 and you don't want CO2 in bio gas.

  • You should not use and waste good food like that!! Your process is worth more than that. Use kitchens waste and animal poop and you will be suprised at the better amount of gas gained :( and then  :) Yipee!!
