Link Engine Management STORMG4 fitment and mapped by THOR Racing to a Locost Super8 Kit Car built by Jean Lu-Smith running Lexus / Toyota Soarer SC400 1UZ-FE 4.0lt V8 engine.

  • Thanks for your comments. The problem stems from using the stock ECU to control the 1UZ in a different chassis. With missing sensors and different intake and exhaust and a completely different fuel system supply. So the Link was the fastest way of fixing all problems in one go.

  • Great to see the New Zealand made Link in action. I will soon be doing the same and putting a Link into my own Soarer.

    However a 1UZFE with fuel consumption of 12-15 litres (per 100km I assume?) would in this particular case I imagine point to a faulty factory ECU which is why it was being replaced? A regularly maintained 1UZ-FE will get 10L/100km on the motorway.
