After watched later seasons and come back, I really feel this has to be staged, if the prey had any navigational skill, this ep would be a walk in the park for them, mantracker would never ever see them. See how this only happen with those two who can navigate? There is just no way mantracker can find every single one of them, IRL you will lose your target and never find it again.
