  • why the hell do you have a dozer plowing snow on the side of a mountain?

  • @pfun41 The National Park Service has been opening this road (Glacier National Park Going to the Sun Road) since it's opening in the early 30s. So yes there is a road under all that snow. It can be as deep as 50ft in the Big Drift, but most places the pioneer dozer goes through 10-25ft drifts and avalanche chutes.  We follow up with an excavator, rotary snow blower, and loader.
