Yeah, sometimes I do actually use public transportation. I know, I know, it isn't nearly as enjoyable as driving but it is a hell of a lot cheaper than trying to park in Manhattan. We took the PATH from Grove to 14th Street in the city, it cost $1.75. Of course parking in Jersey City cost us $12. The PATH is operated by the Port Authority of NY and NJ and runs from north Jersey to the World Trade Center.
oh they don't need to attract people, they already have too many. Most of the people that take the PATH work in the city and it is the fastest, cheapest, and easiest way to get there. My wife has ben to Amsterdam several times as she worked for a company in Oss.

Sounds like Amsterdam ;) One day parking over there is about $ 70 around the center.
$ 12 for a P+R is still pretty expensive though. It oughta be cheaper if they want to attract some people.

they are an experience. I have been on the fairly often since we take them to get to the city. I have driven to Manhattan but parking is really expensive. I think one time we paid $7.50 and hour to park in midtown.
