Silent Hill 3 FOV hack: Part 1/4

In this video, I show off the FOV hack (Field of View hack) for Silent Hill 3. I don't really try to advance anywhere, as the subway is about ten times MORE confusing with this hack.

The other parts will show: a cutscene with the FOV stretching length-wise, gameplay with the FOV streching width wise, and a cutscene with the FOV hack stretching width wise.

Also, sorry about the music at the end of the track. I forgot that the tracks link, and that it's a totally different song during the last few seconds.

Well, finally scrounged out my old copy of SH3 for the PC, and after some fitzing, I got it working on the widescreen monitor.

BTW, I'm not sure if you did it for comedic effect or if the latest version of the FOV program fixed your issue, but you only need to set it to 0.76 (the difference between 4:3 and 16:9 screens) to get the proper effect.

So Silent Hill 3 is just flat 2D and has objects that face the camera and weird camera angles so it'll look 3D?

The cool thing about the FOV hack in this video, is that it almost makes the game look like a really, really good PS1 game of sorts.

Can anyone tell me how to fix the FOV for Silent Hill 3 in a widescreen monitor? You are showing here the FOV hack but no information where to get ir or how to do it. Where can i get it? because I cant find it anywhere!
