@mattp566: That's a typical Kronwall hit (compare to the one on Clowe here). Sure, he leaves one of his feet a fraction of a second before initial contact, but he doesn't gain much height until the hit is finished. He would've wreaked as much devastation had he not left his feet at all or doing so after initial impact. But yeah, going by the rulebook it's a 50/50 call, I would've thought NHL would allow those, Lupul should know better than to cross Detroit's blue line facing left.

I didn't see him aim for his head, board him or hit him from behind. Kronwall reminds me so much of Konstantinov. He just picks the chances that aren't going to cost his team.
