a song from Brett's album Wilderness.
(all pictures but one taken by me)

Lyrics:

As I sit and watch The summertime,
And the shadow of The cranes.
By the branches of The cedar tree
And the beating of The day.
You are the rose Within my soul.
You are the reason Why the wind blows.
By the meeting of The roads
I will hold you In my arms again.
And well sit under The cedar tree
As the city Fades away.
By the places Where the blossom falls
And the shadow of The cranes.
You are the rose Within my soul,
You are the reason Why the rain flows.
By the meeting of The roads
I will hold you In my arms again.
By the branches of The cedar tree,
Theres a bench Beside the lake.
Take the bridge Over the Serpentine,
And Ill see you Once again

  • Beautiful photos you've used for this. Now I finally know what the bench beside the lake looks like !

  • When you listen to this song, the backrounds and the instrumental melodies sound great, but the vocal melody remains too flat. Now that I think further, that's possibly the reason why his solo records have not made such an impact on me. I seriously hope he'll put more consideration for the next one, time often times helps you to give more depth to to your creations, if it does not come quite spontaneously.

  • De cortar la respiración. Gracias.

  • very atmospheric photography set to a beautiful song.
