not close to 40 lbs... sorry but i caught one yesterday about the same size or a tad bigger by the looks of yours and it was in the 30 lb range. But good fighters for 30 lbs... but as said, definately not 40.

i catch fish bigger than that at rouge river toronto, pretty much verytime go, ive caught 35 - 40 pounders regularly and the biggest i weighed was 55 pounds, its a big fish but not the biggest in ontario
