Been many years since I've been to Harriman. Went there to visit my family every summer when I was a child. My Grand-Dad's drug store was right next door to the Princess. Spent alot of time at the soda fountain at Acme Drug and watching movies at the Princess. Great days.
Yeessss! I grew up in Harriman and saw many movies there as a kid. My dad and uncles used to walk down to the Princess from Cornstalk Heights in the 1950s to see films, too. I'm so glad the Princess is going to be restored!
I am so glad I stumbled across this vid clip. I just finished a piece on my years enjoying the Princess for Mushy's Moochings and this just wraps it up nicely.
I saw my very first movie, The Lion King, at the Princess. I'm glad someone seems to be taking an interest in the theater. The Princess would be the place to start a revitalization in the Harriman area.
Last thing I seen here was The Emperor's New Groove. I miss it, wish they'd open back up.
