2:52, clapton wrong note!!!! YES!

The chord sequence is fairly simple, and is probably available on the internet somewhere. To learn the song were given a CD of Smokey performing it in the key of G and no chord sheet. However, on the day of the recording we were told he wanted to do it in F sharp instead! All in a day's work!

Eric Clapton is a great guitarist but he's playing too much here. This is a vocal lead number. Listen to how R&B/Soul guitarists like Eric Walls and Spanky Alford do it.

What a combo Smokey Eric and Jools no words could descride this performance

This is stunning

@swiftbass so this was just played in at one take

I'd laugh if you wrote in the description Eric clapton on guitar and me on bass

I know people would normally complain about the one person who "Didn't Know Why" or something to that effect. But seriously. What is there not to like about this?

Eric is always a joy to work with. He's also a very down to earth guy and a good laugh too. None of us got to rehearse with Smokey during the filming of this show, so we all had to be on the ball during the recording. Eric must've had his operation just after this because he was fine on the day.
