It's too bad Northern Iowa is dropping baseball. But college baseball struggles in northern states, and it's hard to draw fans when the temperature doesn't even reach 50 degrees. My guess is Northern Iowa rarely drew crowds much larger than 200-300 for their home games.
Iowa State dropped baseball in 2001, mainly because of low attendance and lack of fan interest.
Hopefully, the University of Iowa hangs onto their baseball program.
We knocked Missouri State outta 1st with a couple wins this weekend. And, if you can hang a hat on something like that...DO IT!!!
GO CATS!!!!
