2010: The Year we Make Contact - Music - Dopplereffekt: "Hyperelliptic Surfaces" (PART 1)

I edited some clips of the movie: "2010: The Year we Make Contact" (1984) directed by Peter Hyams, based on the novel by Arthur C. Clarke and a direct sequel to 2001: A Space Odyssey directed by Stanley Kubrick. This movie is maybe one of the most important science fiction movies of the decade, but until now is being reconsidered as a great movie, because it always will be on the shadow of 2001. The Music is from Dopplereffekt's album "Calabi Yau Sapce" (2007): "Hyperelliptic Surfaces". I hope you like it!!!!! Please Comment!

@blackprincess82 : With the available scientific advancements taken into consideration as on date..yes , it does seem impossible to reach even the nearest star ..I think its Proxima Centauri ( other than the Sun ). Do enlighten if you know something more on this..It would be nice.

Its already the fag end of 2011 and we are no closer to making spacecraft capable of interplanetary travel let alone intersteller spacecraft..Unless we have a breakthrough in making engines capable of achieving even 1/4th the sepped of light..our dreams of reaching out to the stars will remain just that..Dreams..

i hade fun when i was a child roy asked me to say by manners painfull

yet fun, funy what most take for a flim crew or bussiness office , still

i did see the 2001 old locasion alos was nice is fun to be part of pre flim makeing

yet did so take the addvice , i do not know how to part as it never works

The title of this movie is misplaced.Thousands have already made contact.Some by a sighting of a ufo,others by actually being abducted and communicating with them.

Some have had real encounters in their own homes.First contact would be for those that haven't ever exprienced these star beings.

i didn't really care for 2010 as a movie but this is a good remix. Awesome song too.
