I wonder if the biography of oppenheimer they put in the dna was paperback or hardback. lmao All they did was take an existing goat cell and give it cancer(a change to the dna). From scratch. lmao They work so hard to be smart and sound so stupid. Although I do like Michio, he should have sat this interview out. No wonder they could'nt get a biologist in there. Not even the one who supposedly created a cell from scratch. Do they mean they scratched the goat to get the cell.LMAO

@midnightwatchman1 You do have a point. I just think they would have been better off finding an eloquent biologist, although you could argue that there aren't many of those.

@OliverIskra youre an idiot

@OliverIskra come on man give the man a break even if you not a expert it does not mean you cannot understand or teach it others most knowledge in science can be understood if taught properly . The reason I believe they use him so much is because he good at make complex things look simple and he express himself well. A lot of scientist cannot communicate very well

This is big, but not that big. Their article in "Science" states that their synthesized DNA was inserted into an already living cell. This means that they did not start from scratch and create a new cell from pure chemicals. It is only a copy. What they have done is succeeded in adding fantastic amounts of organization to previously existing matter. Therefore, this is not "life" as life is really known.

is everything a game changer for michio? come on!!

This woman is trying to act stupid.
MASSIVE BREAKTHROUGH IN BIOLOGY!?
Let's ask an attentionwhore theoretical physicist instead of a biologist.

@spian Modern scientists tend to be experts in very specific fields of science. Regardless of whether or not he is the greatest physicist to grace our planet (he isn't) the fact remains that he will have very little technical and relevant knowledge on this.
