I love District 9. Best sci-fi movie in years. The aliens, especially Christopher, were alot more relatable than the humans.

district 9 is what i believe to be id one of the greatest movies of all time it has a superb story with great acting, CGI, it is also a very dark and depressing movie which i love about it, with a great script i absolutely lobe this movie to death it deserves more credit than what its given

The First Act is brilliant!

I'm three quarters into watching this on Starz, and they had it as a four out of four star review. You must have to be a person that can totally suspend all reality to be able to think this is a good movie. Every single movie put out in the last 10 years, guy films have gone this way. As a woman in her 50s, I give this a true thumbs down. My star rating is one and half stars. You immature men looking for action and girls w/ tattoos in their 20s will get more out of it.

It's Neill Blomkamp, not Bloomingkamp, you idiot. Do your job, at least get the name of the director right.

FYI guys, 40 seconds is way too long for an intro. Around the 10 seconds mark and i forgot what the hell i was watching and 5 seconds after that and i was just about ready to change the video.

@sancoandpanco like what.........seriously I cant think of any that are better. I can think of some I liked just as much.

@cinefiles Cool, I'm with you. I think the reason he defended him in the first place was due to the intensity of the hate being directed at White - this guy seems to have real knack for getting under people's skin. Ebert calling him a Troll though, that was classic!
Eddie, I loved how you said Armond White is a shithead!

I only speak the truth. I urge you to read his review of District 9. It was more of hate speech than a review. In fact, it pissed Roger Ebert off so much, he wrote a response to his on his website.

@cinefiles Didn't Ebert defend White's review? Only to back-track later (calling him a troll!) after numerous fans emailed him (Ebert) with the lowdown on what White was really all about. But! still, he did defend the review.

@nookie077 He did until he read his other reviews. He wasn't familiar with his work until the whole controversy came up. At first he defended him. Then he was directed to some of his other reviews, which quickly changed his mind.
