Meet Rudy. Rudy was a participant and recent graduate of Multnomah County Library's General Educational Development (GED) labs. These learning labs, part of Library Outreach Services, provide opportunities to acquire critical skills in ways that work best for busy adults in our community. The library's GED labs provide a pathway to gaining a GED certificate for patrons who may need to study on their own. With a testing scholarship from our partner, Londer Learning Center, Rudy recently obtained his GED by passing all 5 GED tests with high scores.
For Rudy, now, the sky's the limit. "After getting my GED I really want to move forward and continue with school," Rudy said. "The library and, you specifically, have been such a great help and have really given me an opportunity to succeed. I admire all that people like you do, and I hope to one day be involved with such a great system and program. My dream goal is to be an outreach specialist where I will be out helping and motivating people to succeed. I love every aspect of it." Learn more about Rudy's story here.
