Its Books. Warring. Flying. Dying.

Books was originally shot by Taylor, my roommate, but only 30 seconds of it ever existed. In late '06, I got an assignment for my post-production class at Arizona State to edit a short film or music video. I decided to revive Books and we both agreed to reshoot the film. But Tay Diggs had lost the original footage so we had to reshoot the footage he lost, plus the additional scenes to bring the total running time to 4:54.

The song, as many of you must know, is "Idioteque" by Radiohead, off most arguably their best album Kid A.

We plan to reshoot Books yet again and have a much greater conflict in the library this go round. Please leave any comments, suggestions or advice you wish. We appreciate all criticism.

  • i loved this video.

  • Thanks for the comment. I'm glad you appreciate our work

  • Cool video, but best album? You must be joking.

  • I did say, and I quote "off most arguably their best album," which implies their best album is certainly up for debate. Thanks for the comment though.

In Rainbows is pretty sick too.

  • What? I thought it was great, well at first I didnt but near the end I did. So fuck Ya! and I thought this video did a great job on making books come to life. They all were dead and that shot at the end looked really cool with the book case behind it not moving.

  • brilliant

  • Library janitor : " WHAT THE?!?!"

  • Very thought provoking! And excellent job!

  • Very cool video. Great job.

Like the Hawking book at the end!

  • for sure. Kid A is by far their best album

  • first of all, kid a and amnesiac don't sound similar at all.

Kid A is timeless. it never really gets old, it only gets better. OKC and The Bends are full of anthems that get old over time (Just, Bends, High and Dry, Karma, No Surprises, Airbag - even Paranoid Android), and right now I'm mainly interested in the other tracks like Climbing Up The Walls, Bulletproof, The Tourist and Let Down.

Nothing in Kid A ever gets old. you only appreciate it more with time. BTW Morning Bell is amazing.

  • I dunno, when you get two albums that sounds almost identical (kid A and Amnesiac) you know a band is going through a stale moments. Don't get me wrong I love everything they have done, but it just got too repetitious during those years, even morning bells was given a second shot. Regardless, lyrically, nothing touches ok computer and the bends... well, thats just classic. but yea, too each is own.

  • He's right actually. Kid A is better then OK Computer and The Bends. Together.
