I wonder what Jimi would think of the obvious observation that nearly everyone has missed the point of the beginning of this video.
It's about his revealing that killing the messenger is done to kill their message, yet it only works if people don't think, hence, "Pop that cork back on your goddamn head," 'Forget what that guy just told you.' 'Pop that cork....back on and stop opening your mind to the fact that we're all getting scammed,' even the leaders themselves if they thought about it.

@MrGondai Jimi had an amazing sense of humour, for him to play a redneck gun toting hippy shooter, is just genius. I dunno who Jimi hated.... but I know he loved humour and making some of the best music ever.
