"House M.D."-like scene in Spooks

Recently I bought Season 1 of the British TV series "Spooks". Hugh Laurie, the main actor in "House M.D.", has a small role in episode 4 & 5 as Jools Siviter, a MI6 guy. In e5, "The Rose Bed Memoirs", Laurie plays in a scene which gives us a glimp at his future character in "House M.D.": Being a complete jerk. :P

This scene starts somewhere near 0:29:40 on my region2 season 1 DVD box.

Thanks for posting this. The clip is hilarious. Especially considering the dismissive way he talks about that particular production of Wagner later! {Although I'd find the crying more believable if it was something from Puccini instead -- THAT man knew emotions and melodies!)

"a rum lot" means a strange bunch of people (in a bad way).
