Maker of Matrix must have read different philosophies ... definitely hinduism. There are traces of that all over the movie and here is one at the end..

thanks for the comments.. Just a caution, please dont treat this as a religious bias or even worse have religious cold war!! ... Thats exactly the point that we miss.. all religions are man made.. its just imagination of gifted human beings at some point in the history.... its not about the stories attached to each religion or judging what is good and what is bad .... @wert111353 basically what happened smith saw the end in the matrix and new he would win to him but what actually happened was smith took over neo and smith didnt know neo was plugged directly into the source so smith basically returned to the source thus being deleted and i dont know if this part is true but neo is either unconcoiuse or dead i read online that kenau reeves is making a forth and fifth one but the only enemy i can think of is the merovigian and the architect or smith returning

i'm christian and i think the message of the prayer is very beautiful, and yes we do miss the point of religious texts. religion was formed to better our selves spiritually depending on the approach of the person belief can be either salvation or devastation. use it wisely.
