As painful as it was for us die hard B/J fans, it was necessary for both of their characters that it happened. If I'm honest, the very first time I watched the show, I was all in favour of Ethan, I didn't think that Brian was treating Justin well - then of course I changed my mind, because Ethan was a fucking cunt. Still, a part of me dies every time I see Justin walking away with Ethan, I'm like, how CAN YOU walk off on Brian like this when you see what it does to him :(

it was a really good scene and I totally agree that Brian was crying and the music fit perfectly also the look on Michael and Debbie's face as they r watching it and I still cant believe Justin chose Ethan because u could see how much Brian loves Justin but Justin had to make that stupid mistake to realize how much he loved Brian

That scene was one of the most brilliantly written in the show, too. I mean the show has a lot of breathtaking moments but this one, my jaw dropped. Brian seeing Justin with Ethan and taking off the mask, blinking awkwardly (I'm pretty sure he's crying), "mask off, this is me, this is how I feel", Justin staring at him and walking out with Ethan (ie chosing him instead of Brian), and Brian putting back the mask and dancing with some random guy. The "so what" mask is back on. Loved it.
