The earthquake that hit Haiti on January 12, 2010, killed some 150,000 people, caused widespread devastation, and left nearly 1 million people without a home. Uncounted numbers of them are children. SOS Children's Villages has been active in Haiti for 30 years. It's village in Santo, Haiti, has become an operations base for emergency relief teams who provide thousands of children and their families with what they need most, as well as temporary shelter for unaccompanied children.
