This is an early test render of an ant for an animation that is in the works for a commercial.

The test render allows me to view the character for changes and updates before the armature and animation movements are completed and rendered. Once the ant is at 100% it's on to setting up the bone structure, and bring him (or them) to life.

This was modeled in June 2007 in Blender. Rendering was done in Blender 2.44 as well.

Might change face of character slightly, and currently adding the armature and constraints to set up movement of ant(s), at the same time it's just an ant, right?, so keeping it simple is good.

  • pretty cool...if you plan on ever having that ant "crawl" instead of only walking on its hind legs, you might want to make the other legs longer...but thats up to you....good work
