I find that the flip screen can be a distraction. What I do is tilt it so that the image still visible but not prominent. I suggest recording in the best quality. You can always render the final video smaller if you choose. I also render in a high quality format since YouTube can handle it.

Lighting can be very affordable. We bought several shop lights at Home Depot for about $10 apiece.

It doesn't matter where you start out. What counts is where you end up & that you enjoy the journey. The new cam is great & you're just getting better & better. Thanks for the nice shoutout my dear.
