That's a hard rhythm. The audience did better at 5:14 because they had the visual cue of Steves right hand to hook on too.
A way to teach this better ( in my opinion ) is have the visual cue to hook onto at a slow tempo, then have the audience piggyback off of Steve's cueing, the Steve increases the tempo over a minute. Then they'll get it. I do this with students. It never fails.
