@monkeyseevideos -- Vinegar is not alkaline. Its pH is below 7, so it's acidic. Salt only dissolves in water. Making it a paste with vinegar-water creates a super-saturated solution where some of the salt doesn't dissolve. The only thing the salt does is act as a scrubbing agent since it stays in paste form. The vinegar is what dissolves the soap scum.
Before creating instruction videos, it's a good idea to research any technical trivia first. Baking soda is alkaline - vinegar is acidic.
