Both are imperialists that see the need to be in charge of the world via force. You are at a tipping point that has repeated time and time again throughout history. Economies, Armies, and Ecology are tied together. The difference now is that technology has quickened the pace that leads to collapse.
Only a massive grass roots movement that can understand these issues will have a chance of stopping the inevitable.

I agree.
Rather than suspend campaigns, it would make more sense to make economic policy the topic of Friday's debate.
Then McCain and Obama can give their perspectives on the crisis and outline their separate strategies for addressing it.
That kind of debate between future presidents could provide guidance for congressional action.
It would also help the American voters decide which candidate is better qualified to lead.
