Bob Enyart made this extraordinary claim in 1997 against the perception of millions of Darwinists that Dawkins' books provided evidence for evolution, a harsh assessment now admitted by Dawkins himself. Prediction: This camp gullibility will persist regarding Dawkins' previous books and lead to uncritical assumptions of validity for his current claims, already debunked at kgov.com/bel/20100427 by Enyart & Dr. Jonathan Sarfati.

  • What about all the christian literature that just asumes the bible is true? A bit of a double standard don't you think?

  • @monster762 Hello Monster, please see GT's comment & my reply. Yes, books can be written with integrity while presupposing an idea. That's not the point. The point is that countless evolutionists pointed creationists to Dawkins' books as containing the evidence that Darwinism is valid. But Dawkins would make up analogies and act as though they were evidence; etc. Even with Dawkins admission, many evolutionists will still disagree with both him and me. This shows widespread historic gullibility.

  • Nice :)

  • Is this a real troll on video? Dawkins has written many books about the overwhelming case for evolution yet you still misrepresent his position - this is a dishonest argument.

    Peace.

  • What planet do you live on? The incredible amount of evidence for the theory of evolution is mind boggingly immense. The fossil record points to long ranges of timelines where slow, gradual changes happen in species. Comparative animal physiology shows us how animals have similar bone structures. Genome sequencing showed that we are closely related to primates, in particular chimpanzees.

    What are you getting at?

  • @BobEnyartLive The Roman Catholic Church the birth place of modern science?! Galileo was found "vehemently suspect of heresy", namely of having held the opinions that the Sun lies motionless at the centre of the universe, that the Earth is not at its centre and moves, and that one may hold and defend an opinion as probable after it has been declared contrary to Holy Scripture. He was required to "abjure, curse and detest" those opinions.[54]Galileo Galilei was sentenced to formal imprisonment.

  • @BobEnyartLive `Dawkins simply argues that deluded minds (like yours) have a yearning to believe in supernatural beings even if the imaginary being is evil and stupid e.g. drowning babies and children in his flood, and creating an angel who he knew ( before he created him) would turn against him in a power struggle. Dawkins shows theists gullibility even if these theists happen to be evolutionary biologists. In short many humans are psychologically fucked up.

  • @BobEnyartLive Evolutionists might disagree about how evolution processes work (we still have much to learn) but they all agree that every creature on earth evolved. If you were to study evolutionary biology at university or college you would be reading several books by several authors on the subject. One thing that theists cannot justify is their god's evil and stupidity e.g. creating an angel called Lucifer and drowning babies and children in his flood.

  • @BobEnyartLive - Bob, you gotta be gracious when you're wrong as often as I am. :-) I re-watched the video, and yes, I should have paid more attention to what the caller in the beginning was saying, as that clearly illustrated your point.

  • @BobEnyartLive Problem you have is the god of the New Testament is the evil god Old Testament. Christianity is still based around superstitious claptrap. It has been twisted and distorted over the centuries. The Jesus story is based on the Mithra the Persian god of light and wisdom 525 BC. Greek mythology (virgin births), and furthered altered by the the council of Nicea 324 AD. Sadly people like yourself has a psychological yearning to believe in this mythology..

  • The quote is not an admission but an explanation of what his new book (The Greatest Show On Earth) is about, ie. the evidence, and the purpose for writing it. I can see your point but you have clearly taken the quote out of context. As for the widespread historic gullibility, are you refering to evolutionists only, or creationists as well?

  • @DrMontague Last post DM, re: witches. Mankind's history is filled with superstition, and while much of the ancient world worshiped the sun, the Bible taught that it was not a god, but a light (which I had a hard time getting Scientific American's Michael Shermer, who denied that the Sun was a light, to agree with: KGOV .com/Shermer ). I've read/interviewed enough science historians incl. Darwinists (recently: KGOV .com/Hannam ) to know most of them see Christianity as birthing modern science.
